Sunday’s Meeting

We had another vacationer from a snowy state at this week’s meeting – Wayne, 1 dan from New York. Rob and I each played him in a four stone handicap game. Rob narrowly won his game, while I lost mine by resignation when a game-deciding life and death battle turned against me. Regulars Nate and Josh K. exchanged several small-board handicap games and I beat Nate in a six stone game. We also had a new beginner, Victoria, who played several 9×9 games.

I’ve posted the games Rob and I played against Wayne in the extended entry.

Elementary Difficulty

Here are this week’s problems. The intermediate problem is another from the classic collection Gokyo Shumyo and the other two problems are from a collection of beginner excercises at Sensei’s Library.

Remember, new problems appear here every Thursday.
